321 Stainless Steel Coil is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel similar to 304, with the addition of titanium to its composition. The titanium prevents intergranular corrosion by stabilizing the carbon and making it the grade of choice for applications involving welding followed by service in the high-temperature sensitization range (425 to 815 Celsius / 800 to 1500 Fahrenheit). This grade is essential for applications where welding and high heat are involved, primarily in aircraft exhaust systems and manifolds, boiler and pressure vessel parts, heat exchangers, and refinery equipment.
