Stainless Steel Coil
316L Stainless Steel Coil
316L Stainless Steel Coil is an extra-low carbon (0.03% maximum) austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel that contains molybdenum. It is generally non-magnetic.The key feature of the 'L' variant is its superior resistance to sensitization (weld decay), meaning it maintains its corrosion resistance after welding without the need for post-weld annealing. Its Molybdenum content provides excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, especially in chloride and marine environments. This grade is essential for applications involving extensive welding and exposure to harsh, corrosive, or chloride-rich environments, including marine components, chemical and petrochemical processing equipment (vessels, pipelines), pharmaceutical and food processing equipment, and medical implants.
