08F Carbon Steel Plate is a very low-carbon, rimmed steel with a nominal carbon content of approximately 0.08% and is commonly classified as a dead-mild steel. The "F" often denotes a rimmed or killed steel, influencing its homogeneity and surface quality. Due to its extremely low carbon content, this plate exhibits superior cold formability and ductility—it can be easily bent, drawn, and stamped—and possesses excellent weldability. Although it has lower strength than other carbon steels, the 08F plate is primarily used for deep drawing and stamping applications, such as automotive body parts, non-critical structural components, containers, and various parts where extensive cold working and a fine surface finish are paramount.
