Carbon Steel Pipe
55# Carbon Steel Tube/Pipe
55# Carbon Steel Tube/Pipe is a tubular product made from medium-carbon steel with a nominal carbon content of around 0.55%. This significantly higher carbon level provides the tube or pipe with increased strength, high hardness, and improved wear resistance compared to low-carbon grades. However, this increased strength comes with a corresponding reduction in ductility and weldability, making cold forming and welding more challenging. 55# pipe is typically supplied in the normalized or quenched and tempered condition for optimal mechanical properties. It is used in applications that require high load-bearing capacity and abrasion resistance, such as heavy-duty mechanical shafts, structural components, and parts in machinery where resistance to wear and high surface hardness are critical.
